Asterisk Japanese Prompt Samples

The following are examples of the first-ever complete set of core Japanese audio prompts compatible with Asterisk versions 1.8, 11, 12, and 13. The prompts were recorded by QLOOG and feature Ryoko Sonoda, affectionately known as “Japan’s Allison” after the world-renowned Allison Smith, whose voice is featured in the original English files. More information on how to install the Japanese prompts is available here.

What would the Asterisk sounds be without the wit of the originals? We thought it would be fun to raise a few eyebrows by adapting Allison’s “Something is terribly wrong!” into the spunky Kansai dialect of Japanese spoken in our part of the country.
