About OTTS Japan

What is OTTS?

  1. The Open Telephony Training Seminar curriculum, originally developed by members of the FreePBX community and currently backed by Sangoma, provides a comprehensive presentation and review of the skills necessary to successfully deploy open source PBX solutions based on FreePBX and Asterisk. OTTS Japan expands upon this foundation to include vital information catering to real time communications providers operating in Japan, including navigating the complex world of hardware solutions, maintaining high quality service, emergency dialing in Japan, and strategies for closing sales with Japanese customers.

 

Target Audience

  1. This 4 day in-depth seminar is designed for…
    -Individuals and businesses who sell, provision, or maintain open source PBX solutions
    -IT professionals who deploy highly customized PBX products
    -Carriers and telephony providers who want to gain a working knowledge of open source solutions
    Participants should have basic experience with the FreePBX GUI and IP telephony. The course is taught primarily in Japanese, but participants of all nationalities are welcome.
    *Familiarity with the Linux command line and basic networking skills are recommended.

    Days 1-3

    1:00PM – 2:00PM: Lunch break
    2:00PM – 6:00PM: Lecture and labs

    Final Day (Day 4)
    10:00AM – 1:00PM: Lecture and labs
    1:00PM – 2:00PM: Lunch break
    2:00PM – 4:00PM: Examination
    To allow for return travel the final day is scheduled to end at 4:00 PM.

Topics Covered

The course will cover a wide range of topics relating to the installation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of FreePBX systems. Participants who successfully complete the course will have gained the necessary skills to begin providing FreePBX’s powerful functionality and advanced features to their customers.
OTTS Japan is taught primarily in Japanese, but supplementary explanation in English is also available as needed.
